Freehand Rangoli -6
After Navarathiri season, I have started drawing kolams. It's been a while since I drew a freehand kolam with colours. Wanted to do some design and use the colours without any scheme nor theme.
After Navarathiri season, I have started drawing kolams. It's been a while since I drew a freehand kolam with colours. Wanted to do some design and use the colours without any scheme nor theme. Just started with a square as it's been ages since I drew a square.
As always, there is trouble at the start once the gear is levered the kolam cruises on its own course without any glitches. That happenes with every freehand kolam as sikku kolam I do some preparation if its a single strand or above 21 dots.. As sikku kolam needs to be glanced before going on the floor. If it's a big kolam I do try maximum of three times on paper and then confidently go on to the main show.
Everytime I do think of drawing a sketch for a freehand. But lethargically I move on without any second thoughts of trying to bring a scheme before going for a fair copy on the floor. I don't know when I am going to educate myself of being organised.
Hope I take a new year resolution in the near future not sure which it is going to be. Hope it happens so!!
Tried my best to colour with bright shades and contrast as I didn't stick on to the tint and shade theory as I do always in my kolams.
